Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Simple Path Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Treatment offers individualized and innovative programs with a focus on compassion and respect.
At Simple Path Recovery, our step-down program ensures the greatest level of success in recovery from substance abuse. It involves a three-tiered approach that includes Intensive Outpatient Treatment, followed by the less intensive Outpatient Treatment and then transitions into Aftercare.
Phase One of our treatment program is called Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP).
Our IOP clients attend group and individual therapy five times per week for a minimum of three hours. IOP clients can choose to stay at our affiliated sober living accommodations which are very comfortable, state-of-the-art accommodations located near the beach and the Intracoastal Waterway in the Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach areas of South Florida.
We utilize cognitive behavioral therapy in our approach to treatment, which essentially holds that negative thinking is a detriment to self-change. In addition to intensive therapy, our clients receive 24/7 supervision, help with job placement and are offered a lineup of healthy recreational activities to choose from including group fishing trips on Simple Path’s company boat, as well as beach days, bowling, movies, Everglades tours, and more.
In addition, the foundation of our treatment approach includes the following:
Transportation to and from 12 Step meetings
Random drug testing to ensure commitment to sober living
24/7 supervision and support
Tailored programs that typically last between 30 to 60 days
Keep in mind that IOP treatment is recommended for those who do not need medically-supervised detox. Your important initial assessment will determine if detox is needed and if so, you will be referred to an associated professional detox facility before beginning your program at Simple Path.
Also keep in mind that IOP programs are ideal for those transitioning between a residential inpatient program and a return to normal life. Our IOP provides the structure and supervision that serves as a bridge for those who need some extra time and attention on their path to sobriety.
Just as important, our IOP educational program will introduce you to concepts and skills pertaining to addiction and your individual recovery plan:
How to prevent relapses
Introduction to the 12 Steps
Understanding the biochemistry of addiction
Understanding and dealing with withdrawal symptoms
The progression of the disease of addiction
Pinpointing co-occurring disorders with substance abuse such as anxiety and depression
The essentials and how-to’s of sober living
Motivational enhancement techniques
Our treatment strategy is evidence-based and is facilitated in an intimate and supportive setting that sets our care apart. Many of our clients have told us they appreciated the “family-like” atmosphere at SPR which felt less isolating and institutional than other facilities they considered.
But perhaps this is what most sets us apart: We know that everyone is different and that your treatment must be tailored to your individual needs and circumstances. The addiction professionals at Simple Path specialize in creating individualized and innovative programs with a focus on compassion and respect.
