Meet the Simple Path Recovery Team
Our South Florida drug and alcohol treatment center provides our clients with the opportunity to get sober and ensure a successful transition back into everyday life. We believe in creating an open and compassionate environment, that will lead our clients to a life free of addiction. Our staff work tirelessly to create such a setting with love, guidance and compassion. To this end, we maintain one of the lowest client-therapist ratios in the addiction treatment industry. Our success is in our client's ability to find lasting recovery.

Client care is Matt’s top priority and the pride of Simple Path Recovery’s reputation. DEREK STEINMETZ
Operations Supervisor / Case Manager
Derek began working in the addiction treatment field in 2016. Prior to that, he was an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) technician who had struggled with addiction most of his adult life before getting sober. With a passion for fixing things, Mr. Steinmetz decided to make a lateral change to assist others with substance use disorders. Derek is also working towards his master’s degree in social work at Walden University, so that he can continue to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves. As Simple Path Recovery’s operation manager, Derek has the opportunity to help others come out of the darkness of addiction and into recovery. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, along with smoking in his BBQ Shaq.

HEIDI STEINMETZ
Operations Manager
After a successful career in the hospitality industry and her own struggle down the dark road of addiction, Heidi chose a new path. Heidi has been working in substance abuse treatment for over 10 years for some of South Florida’s leading treatment facilities. She has heart for the hurting and her passion is to help share the light of recovery. Heidi’s greatest reward is seeing a spiritual awakening in someone who she's helped on their journey! In her leisure time, she enjoys travel and spending time with her husband and family.
