Items To Bring During Your Stay At Simple Path Recovery

It can be confusing to know what you can and cannot bring with you during your treatment as every recovery center is different. At Simple Path Recovery, we want to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and relaxed as possible so that you can focus solely on your recovery.

Some of the Items to Bring for Your Stay at a Residential Treatment Center

Before you pack for your stay at Simple Path Recovery, please review the below list of items:

Required items

  • Identification, such as a driver’s license or state-issued ID
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Prescription cards
  • A form of payment for items during your stay (Ex: cash, your checkbook, or a debit / credit card)


Bring prescribed medications you have been taking in their original bottles. If you have liquid medication, it should be new and sealed. It is also helpful to bring a list of your prescribed medications and the dosages of each.

Contact Information

Put together a list of your loved ones contact information. You may also want to include contact information for physicians or other professionals. You may even want to add your boss to the list if you are taking a leave from work.


During the winter months, the day-time temperatures average in the 70s and 80s while evening temperatures dip to the 60s. In the summer months, the day-time temperatures average in the 90s and mid-70s at night.

Bring clothes and shoes that you feel comfortable in. You will also want to have workout clothing and sneakers for outdoor activities. Include a swimsuit, as well as flip-flops, a bathrobe, and pajamas. Pack a few nicer outfits for special occasions or when you have visitors.

Feel free to bring jewelry that you wear every day, such as a wedding ring or watch. Our tech office at Oceanside Housing has a safe available for valuables.

While most of your days will focus on treatment and therapy to help your recovery, there will be some downtime.

Beach Gear

With beach access, we encourage patients to spend time by the water. Feel free to pack the following items

  • Beach Towel
  • Water Shoes
  • Flip Flops
  • Goggles
  • Fishing Poll
  • Frisbee
  • Beach Ball
  • Snorkeling equipment
  • Standup Paddle Board (SUP)

If there is something you want to bring that is not on this list, please feel free to ask our staff prior to arrival. Oceanside Housing does have beach weekend activities were all items will be provided.

Prohibited items

  • Alcohol or any illcit drugs
  • Prescriptions not prescribed to the resident
  • Weapons of any kind
  • No pets of any kind
