Samantha VanSantCEO, Co-Founder
Samantha is originally from New Jersey, relocating to South Florida in 2008 to pursue a career in rehabilitation. As a co-founder of Simple Path, her goal is to maintain a welcoming, supportive and home-away- from-home environment for everyone in our outpatient and after treatment programs. She works closely with our clients every day to help ensure they are getting the most out of the treatment we provide.
Justin DunbarCo-Founder, Director of Business Development
Growing up, alcohol and drugs played a big part in Justin’s family, his circle of friends and neighborhood, leading him to serious addiction. After 18 painful years spent in and out of rehabs, jails and institutions, he was near death and feeling completely helpless and defeated. Making a last and final attempt to get help, he successfully completed treatment and sober living. Today, he is a loving and devoted father, fiancé and family man enjoying the freedom and grace that sobriety has to offer. As a co-founder of Simple Path, Justin’s passion is to provide counsel, support and understanding to those in need of help.
Adam SaslovClinical Director
A Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Adam has more than 20 years of experience as a therapist in a number of different areas, and has held directorial positions for some of the top dual diagnosis treatment centers in the country. Before opening a private practice in 2000, he established several successful programs at local hospitals throughout Boca Raton. His personal mission is to help sober living become a reality for those who want it.
Matt WilkofDirector of Operations
After leaving a successful career in the music industry in 2010, Matt made the decision to change his destructive, drug addicted, lifestyle and enter the world of sobriety. He became active in the recovery community and local churches and eventually overcame his struggle. Since 2012, Matt has been working in treatment field operating in many capacities. He brings his real-life experiences and strengths to the table and envisions that every client can one day find the peace and freedom that recovery from substance abuse promises.
Kyle CappelMarketing Director
Kyle prides himself on bringing care and compassion to those who want the gift of sobriety. Kyle originates from New Orleans and since entering recovery in 2007, he shares his experience with anyone that comes into the Simple Path Recovery program.
After a 14-year career as a microbiologist, Carrie decided to pursue a career that gave her the satisfaction and reward she was looking for every day at work. Carrie received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and is licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. Prior to accepting her position at Simple Path Recovery, she worked with court mandated youths with drug and alcohol issues. She also spent time working at a private substance abuse treatment center, particularly with adults. Carrie loves to facilitate positive change in her client’s lives and feels lucky to work in a profession she loves. She strives to create a safe, understanding and non-judgmental environment. When Carrie is not at work, you can find her local yoga studio or traveling with her husband.
Rudy ArcaraBehavioral Health Tech
Rudy moved to South Florida in 2014 from Westchester, New York. His decision to make such a big move was to get help from his own addiction. Since he has been in Florida, he has achieved continued sobriety and a passion to help others in early recovery. While living in New York, Rudy played football for Iona College and received his Master’s degree from Manhattanville College in physical education. Spending time with our clients during their day-to-day activities, Rudy enjoys making sure everyone is taken care of and receives the support they need.
Stacy received her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation from Barry University. She has worked in the field of addiction treatment since the completion of her Master’s degree with a strength based and solution focused approach. Stacy provided treatment to incarcerated males with a focus on both criminal and addictive thinking. Through strength based and solution focused therapies, Stacey believes clients are able to create programs of recovery that most fit their life goals and aspirations. Stacey hopes to help clients create new and positive relationships with themselves and their loved ones.
Stephen LaBarBehavioral Health Tech Supervisor
A native of Philadelphia and a U.S. Navy veteran, Stephen has experienced many things in his life both good and bad. After Stephen’s struggle with drug and alcohol addiction for many years, he made the decision to get help by entering into a program similar to Simple Path Recovery. Having benefitted from the help, encouragement and kindness of others, Stephen gained the passion to provide the kindness he received to help others. Since 2014, he has worked in the field of drug and alcohol recovery, helping those in need as they journey toward clean and sober lives of their own. Here at Simple Path, Stephen says he now has a career he loves.
