Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Florida
Partial hospitalization in Florida is typically a 15 to a 30-day program, based on each individual client’s needs. Upon admission, each client receives a thorough clinical and medical assessment. After that, they may take a facility tour, meet staff, attend orientation, and receive a daily schedule. At this point, each client meets with their individual therapist to discuss goals and develop a personalized addiction treatment plan. Finally, the client joins the other community clients and is immersed into our schedule of therapy and activities.
Each week consists of a full schedule of treatment activities that include:
What to Expect From Partial Hospitalization in Florida
Partial hospitalization in Florida allows clients to share an apartment with other client peers who team-up on group decisions such as meal planning and activities. This living style also allows free time in the evenings and on weekends. In this way, clients have the opportunity to develop sober skills by participating in healthy recovery activities and attending outside 12-step meetings. At the same time, these important social support systems can play a vital role in addiction recovery.
Florida Drug and Alcohol Treatment takes place in our nearby treatment center. When not in treatment, our clients reside in a safe and secure beachside residence comprised of gender-specific apartments. During their Florida drug rehab stay, clients are assigned to a treatment team that includes a physician, nurse, primary counselor, and case manager. This team is responsible for developing an individualized plan of care and continuing care recommendations. Individualized Rehab Experience in Pompano Beach
Addiction is a chronic disease that can be managed but not cured. Therefore, leaving treatment with a strong aftercare plan is important to avoiding relapse and building a recovery foundation.
During our partial hospitalization program in Pompano Beach, Florida, a multidisciplinary team of medical and behavioral health professionals work together to manage co-occurring disorders. For this reason, we maintain a low client-to-therapist ratio of 4:1. Each client will co-author a treatment plan with their therapist. The treatment plan is a roadmap with milestones that detail all the client’s problems, goals, and responsibilities to achieve and sustain sobriety.
Because Simple Path Recovery offers each client a unique “path” to their own recovery, we are proud to support our client’s family members with family therapy during and after treatment. We do this in-person and through telehealth for families who live in other parts of the country. We also recommend that families get involved in programs like Al-Anon, who locally support parents, siblings and grandparents to cope with their addicted loved one.
As part of the treatment plan, clients attend group therapy several days per week and receive an individual session once per week with their primary counselor. Furthermore, clients attend daily outside 12-step meetings in the local Pompano Beach and Broward County areas.
Partial Hospitalization Treats the Whole Person
During their Florida partial hospitalization stay, each client is assigned a treatment team that includes a physician, nurse, primary counselor, case manager, and nutritionist. This team is responsible for assessing and working with each client to establish both an individualized plan of care and aftercare recommendations.
A day/night partial hospitalization program (PHP) is ideal for those who struggle with severe alcoholism or drug addiction that requires intensive addiction treatment. Clients typically come to South Florida PHP programs to escape their surroundings of active addiction. Also, clients may have a history of chronic relapse and might need to gain the skills that can break the chronic relapse cycle with our relapse prevention programs.
